With Christmas goodies already starting to appear in the shops some of us have started thinking about the New Year. In early 2007 we will see the new 6th edition Ogden tables, with a new methodology for multipliers. In addition, over the past year there have been a number of new developments in quantum issues, particularly in the use of experts. There have been cases on who can be an expert, and what constitutes expert evidence; there is new pension legislation that affects larger claims; widespread debate on retirement ages; and developments in periodic payments, affecting the settlement quantum in claimants’ favour.
To update you and your colleagues we are offering a Quantum update course. This is designed to be run in-house either over a lunchtime training session, or at either end of the working day. It lasts for 50 minutes with a 10 minute slot for questions and discussion. It comes approved for CPD by the Law Society, ILEX and Bar Council, and costs £125 (plus VAT).
